Tuesday
Model United Nations
Teacher: David Marcus
Time: 3:30pm – 4:30pm
Do you like to argue? Are you interested in the world around you? In this exciting simulation participating students will choose a country they would like to represent. They work with partners researching their countries policy on topics that the real UN is dealing with today. Students will use their core skills, critical thinking, and a little acting to negotiate with other countries. They will also learn how to speak diplomatically and with confidence in public. This winter we will participate for the 2nd year in the annual international conference, which is held at the united nations building and the grand Hyatt hotel. Rehearsal attendance is required and students will need to have permission slips signed in order to travel.
